My cousin got PPR last week from SINP..

He applied for Federal on Jan 25, 2013 and by mistake he selected DELHI, IND visa office, it took 14 months for whole process, weird though.

yeah this is very weird, since august & september are getting replies for most provinces!! I need the PR actually very urgently because I have to apply for a deadline soon. I hope i hear back from them soon.

Yeah my work permit is expiring on May 28.. But I've already applied for an open work permit...

No idea as to why. As for my province (quebec) it seems to have been a backlog of applicants. They were still processing jan-may as of last week. But I have no idea how they pick & choose.. there were several people who applied in april last year and got it in November.. Leaves me scratching my head. Frustrating to say the least, especially when other plans are dependent on it.. But nothing to do but wait.

I remember reading in one of the forums sometime back that the application is brought forward in the case roster of the officer every 28 days and it has to be worked on/touched at that point. It would mean that a sets of files are stuck in one team/person's bucket - Not sure if that's really true.

I doubt the bunching of provinces are true. AINP is processing october applicants. Quite crazy. There are at least 15-20 people I know from various provinces which have had in process from end of nov/dec and still haven't heard anything, which according to other applicants i've seen prior to those applicants it's very strange indeed. One thing I know is that they do it in batches, if you have the same dates as some else (including for in process) +- 1 month, you're very likely to get the response within a couple of days of each other. This makes me think that if one person's security is taking a longer time than the others it may hold all of the others in that batch back, but maybe i'm overanalyzing it. I just don't understand how some people's security check is done in 2 months and others in a year. In process from what i've read basically means that only security is left to be done and/or everything is done and waiting for final review.

I should be receiving a new set of GCMS notes at the end of april. Will keep you informed. Hopefully I'll receive DM before then, but i've been saying that for the last 2 months ;D

No news yet, Its almost 25 days but have not got any reply from them for GCMS notes. hopefully, they will send it on time. I am really getting impatient as I have heard a lot of people are getting PR who actually applied after me. Not sure what's going on with my file. Feeling weird.

which province did you apply under? I have a feeling that the application who was supposed to issue visa for us, I thing he is either on vaccation or died. Not been able to find the other reasons though.
