Am a little bit confused about the new rules about ielts. My scores are listening & reading is 4.5, writing 6.5 and speaking is 7. What is my CLB level on each category? Currently working as Food Service Supervisor NOC B. Having those scores am eligible to apply? Can someone help me please? Thank you

Listening 4.5 = CLB 4
Reading 4.5 = CLB 4
Writing 6.5 = CLB 8
Speaking 7.0 = CLB 8

According to the new IELTS rule, you would need to get a 5 in all four categories for NOC B positions. So your scores are ineligible at this point.

Thanks Johnny. Just disappointing because .5 difference i need to retake the exam and pay another fee. :-( I guess I have no choice and maybe the rest with the same case to do it again.

Yeah, sorry to give you the bad news! But you are only 0.5 points off so just do more online practices and you'll be fine! Good Luck to you!

4.5 is too low ,you need to practice and spend some time on it.

You forgot to include the categories. You should put down "Reading = " or "Listening = " next to its score.

the "band" score doesn't matter. you need to convert each of your 4 scores into CLB Levels and I did that and your scores are good enough. In order to qualify for Skill Level 0 and A positions, you need to have at least CLB 7 in all four categories. To reach CLB 7 for all four categories, you need to have at least a "6" as your score for all four categories. You had 6, 6, 7, 8 so you are okay. Understand?
