As Timorisu said in another thread, we had to pay $200 when we filed taxes. It wasn't to receive the insurance card. It was a contribution to the health fund through revenue Québec.

unbelievable and ridicolous, I just confirmed by calling CIC the letter for the landing interview will take another 8 weeks, plus 2 more weeks once I sent the letter back with the PR Photos. So, roughly will be by march 21th 2014 when I get my PR Card. oh well! now, just have to anxiously wait for it. Does anybody know how much Quebec inland applicants have to pay for the landing interview(fee)?

Do you mean 'Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)'? It's $490.
Total payment for PR is $1040. (No dependents)

If you've already paid all, you don't need to pay anything at the landing interview.

Hi, I hope that everyone is fine.

I received my PR card today. It took 60 days from the landing to get the card.

I'm really thankful for all member here. :D Thank you very much.

Friends, I need some help with estimating when I should expect to receive my PR.

I submitted my application from Quebec in the end of Dec 2012; received my CSQ in February 2013; received the request to do my medical in mid-November, and I did it right the way in a clinic that uses the online filing system. No news ever since. My online status is "We started processing your application on November 2013."

Any ideas of what I am looking at for the next steps?

Thank you.

Did you applied PR for family class sponsorship <INLAND>? (According to your past postings, you posted something at Skilled worker category. )

If so, you received your AIP in mid-November? Only you were asked to do medical exams? In that case, getting DM takes from a few weeks to 8 months after AIP. (Currently, CIC shows that the step 2 is 8 months.)

Thank you very much for the reply. It is a family sponsorship application submitted from within Canada. I received the AIP and the request to do my medical. Nothing concerning other requests (e.g., background check, which I submitted with the application). So, it seems that there is no known variable that determines whether it takes a few weeks or 8 months?

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to predict if you will get DM pretty quickly, or after a wait of months. CIC is inconsistent about everything, and sadly, the time between AIP and DM when they aren't received at the same time or close together seems to be the most inconsistent part of the process. You might be able to call the call centre and see if your file has a "bring forward" date listed. I'm not sure if the call centre representatives have access to that information or not, and even if they do, we've learned on this forum that sometimes the call centre reps are worse than useless.

Hi people, just to let you know, i guess my case is one of the longest in time but the good news is that i checked in ECAS and it said Decision Made, and just received a letter with my landing date in february, finally, so I sent my documents in march 2012, got AIP in december 2012 and DM in january 2014, 13 months since AIP to DM, that`s why I say one of the longest, feel so relieved, almost finished, patience, a lot of patience !!

Congrats, FINALLY! Ugh, how terrible to wait so long, but at least you can clearly see the light at the end of the tunnel now. :)

I just received the CIC letter from montreal office asking me for 2 PR photos and to verify that all my information provided is correct.
Good news is, it didn't take 8 weeks as being told over the phone, took only 3 weeks.
Getting closer and closer to my landing interview date and to my PR card. patience is a virtue here.

Thanks a lot Tomorisu and Quebecokie, like I said kinda funny how this works, I didn`t receive the letter asking me to verify if my info is correct, my landing letter is asking me to bring the photos and documents, weird stuff.

It didn't take CIC a terribly long time to schedule my landing after I sent that stuff to them. I want to say perhaps 3 weeks or so. Deep breathes...you're really and truly ALMOST THERE!!! :)

It IS strange. But I've said for a LONG time now, the only thing consistent about CIC is their inconsistency. It's not a joke...really the only thing you CAN depend on is that they will not deal with apps consistently. Just happy that you *did* get a landing date, and that you're fast approaching the light at the end of your long tunnel!
