AIP and DM received today, 30 August 2013. Jg - hopefully yours is coming SOON! Seems like Vegreville is finally starting to wake up and do some processing.

Now I've got a bit of "survivor's guilt" stuff going on. Hurts my heart to see others who have been waiting longer than me still waiting. :'( I know I was sooooo jealous to see some September applicants reach DM, when I hadn't even received AIP. CIC's horrible inconsistency is painfully unfair.

Thanks kanadakazena and wortip! The vacation is planned, haha! Now I can let myself get excited. My father-in-law insisted on booking our family vacation a month or two ago. I already have travel arrangements to go to Spain (never been to Europe) in late March. Should have plenty of time to land and get my PR card.

Thanks for the congrats! Now I'm just hoping that, as another member and I have discussed, my Oct app finally getting action opens the floodgates for the rest of my fellow 2012ers, and those who submitted in 2013 and watched as NOTHING happened for so long. SOOOOOOO hoping that the upcoming week is a week of much happy action here in the forum!

Thanks I hope mine doesn't take much longer. I know for the medical, they can extend it if everything ele is done. I did my medical a bit over a year ago now.

Anyway Congrats and hopefully the 6 or so people left from 2012 will get there's soon.

THANK YOU! CIC even manages to spoil this celebration for me a little. I'm THRILLED with the two-stage decision. But yet I watch people who applied before me wait. This forum has been so helpful, shortening my wait by months, at least (I didn't do medical/police with app, only took the chance on doing medical before being asked - despite call centre advising me to wait for doc request from CIC - because my reading in this forum made me think it was the best course of action). It's helpful, yet even when I have my own happy news, there is still the nagging knowledge that others are waiting, that some who applied before us are still waiting. The unfairness of CIC's consistent inconsistency always nags at the mind.

I think this week is going to be a good week. All of our case workers are refreshed from the long weekend, and read to get crackin' on some AIPs and DMs. Fingers crossed for the medical extension!

FInally and thanks god I just received my AIP

Got my AIP Today, it was a painful(slow) process just waiting for AIP.
Also got the medical request which I didn't send because I was afraid it may expire, same thing with the FBI Background Check. I will have to attach Medical test with FBI Background check which I don't have, getting somewhere finally. At least I can get my maladie and go to college to learn some french. Please somebody Update the Spreadsheet.

Congrats on finally getting AIP! I know just what a long wait that was. At least with AIP, you can start taking steps to start a real life here, like you said, with French classes and insurance. I just called to start my file and get the forms for my health card today.

Go snp! That's really exciting! I'm sure you've seen elsewhere that the FBI check only takes 5-6 weeks (well, as of last year, anyway), not the 18 they advertise.

jg--if your DM takes any longer and my husband's also turns out to be slow, I'm going to blame the UK (my husband lived there for some years and needed a UK police clearance). Who said the Commonwealth meant cooperation??

Thanks QuebecOkie, it would be better if there was some sort of dialogue. For example if they said now, you will need a new medical, I could sort it now. Then there is we are having a baby, the info only says for you to tell them once the baby is born.

Oh well it shouldn't be much longer and we have now had yours and snp's Aip. No one has had updates for quite a while before this. So hopefully the busy summer is done. I think also the strike, they are either near or have come to a decision.

lol you maybe right, I sent the police check also, next they will say I have to re-do that as well....

Hopefully your husbands doesn't take to long. I think we will carry on seeing more things happening now.

With CPC staff being on holiday and the summer being the busiest time and then the strike. Hopefully now they can get on with things again!

Only 4 more AIP's and 7 Final Decisions for the 2012 applicants on the spreadsheet. Then it is just the landings and PR cards.
