Hello Beautiful People !
I just want to say I've been a silent follower of this thread for a long time and all the updates & everyones progress are what keeps me going in the rather long and blind process . Thanks for having this forum.

I am from the US being sponsored by my husband (a quebec permanent resident) in-land and we applied in January 2012 to Vegreville office.

In October we received a letter that the file is forwaded to the local Montreal CIC office

We haven't heard anything else and all CIC call center agents say it will be another 6-8 month wait to get any kind of response.

Does anyone have a similar experience they can share with me?

Welcome to the forum properly, keep us updated with everything and we will try do the same for you

I haven't a clue about the interview from Montreal office, I assume this is about your relationship like other people have experienced. Get all your documents together so you are ready when you do hear from them! Keep checking with CIC call centre too, sometimes mail can be slow or lost.

Just dropped by MICC office to submit my undertaking papers for CSQ, they just told me to drop the envelope into the CQS box and gave me no receipt of it, that's how things work there right?

I want to apply inland thru Quebec and I want to send my emails and chat logs as proof of relationship, but they are not in english or french, I have to translate them in english/french by a certified translator or they just look at the people involved in the conversation and the date when the conversations took place? anyone had been in a similar sitation like mine? thanks

Don't you have pictures, or testimonials from friends and family about your relationship? I think, that would work best.

Well, about my case, i am still waiting for my Medical Check to appear on my ecas. Only sent it last Oct 2012 after they asked me. (AIP on Sept 25)... The wait is taking forever. When i called the CIC Call Center, all they can say was that they are now doing the background check. More sad thing is that, my daughter back in my country haven`t heard from the immigration in Manila yet... hayyyyy.....

They claimed they aren't satisfied that we lived for 1yr before filing the application. This is really traumatic for us. Canada border sent me a letter to appear regarding the decision that was made on my humanitarian case as well. From the information I gathered they will give me a date to leave Canada.
Meanwhile, we took a lawyer to appeal the decision made on the sponsorship application. In as much as we didn't have bills dated exactly 1yr before we applied, we both signed statutory declaration of common law relationship before a commissioner of oath indicating when we started living together.
Any thoughts or advice will be appreciated. I can neither eat or think right.

Best thing you can do is appeal it, and get all your evidence together right now. Pictures of trips, tickets, any banking evidence, receipts, family and friend testimonials, and some testimonials from your neighbours where you lived together. Get the best things you can, any little thing could help your appeal.
