Just curious to know how many of us from 2010 and 2011 (most unfortunate batch of sponsors) have submitted Medical Test Reports and Police Clearance Certificate

And

Waiting for further instructions i.e request for submission of Passport

Medical/pcc done in aug. Showing in background check for 6 weeks

Sponsered parents in 2011june .Medical and police clearance done on nov 08 . Waiting for passport request. :)

My sponsorship decision was made on June 28/2016, since then, there is no news about Police check request nor medical request. The file was transferred to Ottawa.

I don’t know what I should do except waiting :'(

June 2011 applicant, medical passed since Mid May 2016, Background check in progress since May 2016. Waiting for PPR. ALmost 8 months background check in progress.

In essence, they are trying to fast track 2016 and 2017 (even more so - aim is 8 months or less) to show, new liberal administration is "getting things done", whereas 2015 and prior (all the way back to 2011) will get filed away, as they applied during Conservative government

you may chose to not believe me, but then go and read the latest posts in the 2016 thread..most are "yay ..landed"...or "yay got PPR"

Yes, I can understand the frustration. Lots of time, i thought the same way and to get out of frustration i thought this way " This situation we chose ourselves several years before. It was our mistake. We have to accept it. So there is no one on this universe to complaint"

There is saying in my local language "You get trapped yourself, No one can help you" LOL :) :D

But on the other hand, we have to learn to live with it. It is hard.. but there is no other way...Similar situation, In my country of origin lots of poor people don't have money to see doctor for cure e.g. To get eye surgery for eye sight in old age. Many even can not able to buy eye glasses, So they have to live with it. So people have to learn to live with decease. It can happen to anyone.. So this happened to us, we have to live with it and accept this reality today or tomorrow until unless we got together and find lawyer and find a way to go to court

Only way is to go to CBC.Let us all write to Toronto Star and Global Mail. Media can put political pressure.
Please discuss and come to some conclusion.

hi Ravi

whare is your file being processed?

what I have noticed is, normally they send out two set of correspondence on same day. Set # 1. PCC and Set # 2 Medica.

In case of Set # 1 PCC you get one email/letter addressing the whole family to submit PCC (i.e. Principal applicant and dependants), in Hyderabad / India without this letter they were not issuing PCC

in Case of Set # 2, Medical we got two email / Letter (one for father and another for mother) listing new UCI number.

Check with your visa office regarding the PCC and they would be requesting to have it submitted within 45 days. if your parents were in USA for more than six months you will be requiring FBI clearance, it would take longtime

when you select medical testing center, make sure they have eMedical option, that would speed up the processes.

if you are from Hyderabad / India and need some info, I can help you.

Thanks kcdasoju. I have applied in June 2011 and additional in November 2015.

Sponsorship decision made in June 2016.

I also sent email to CIC-Ottawa last week and below is what I got from them.

"Your application is being processed as per our regulatory timeline. Please note that we cannot confirm when your file will be ready for finalization.

We do not require any information from you at the present time. An officer will contact you if further information is required. Please ensure when submitting documents that they are still valid and will not expire within six (6) months as this could delay your application.

For your information, the processing times, provided on the website, is the average time it took visa offices to approve or refuse 80 percent of applications during a specified period in the past. They may not accurately predict future processing times.

We appreciate your patience and ask that you keep correspondence with our office to a minimum. In order to process requests efficiently, we will not be responding to duplicate requests.

Regards,"

Hello All,

Coming back to forum after a while. just read frustration everyone is going through. I totally agree with all of us. at the same time, I believe cases from 2010 / 2011 batch will be finalized towards the middle of the year. hopefully we all get something to hear before that. Thinking positive, I am also equally fed with the system. Dont know what takes so long to receive any news ??? I would say Average processing time for files to the last stage in Ottawa is about 2 -3 months from the date of medical and PCC request.

here is my timeline:-

Application filed in June 2011
Additional documents sent in September 2015
Re submission of form IMM5406 - Feb 2016
Approval - June 2016
Medical and PCC request:- November 30th 2016
Waiting since than !!

I suspect most of us will start to hear something from March / April onwards...!!! ? God knows??
