Hey Everyone - I was approved as a sponsor last month. How will my parents receive updates now? I suppose CIC wont be sending it to my email anymore?

When I log in - I see a link that says "The person you are sponsoring can receive instant email updates and more detailed, up-to-date case status on their permanent resident application by creating an online account" . but to create an account i need my dad needs to obtain a GCkey? Because he does not have a local bank account which was the other option

I tried using the application number (F00...) along with the surname and dob and it doesn't log in.

Identification Type: Application Number / Case Number = F000???????

Last Name

Date of Birth

Place of Birth

i would display information related to Principal applicant only

but not much information is provided there

it does not display dependent information

Hi I was thinking of ordering GCMS notes for my parents, and I wanted to know which option should I select for "Which specific information are you looking for?" question , A. Electronic notes from Immigration officer, B. Correspondences sent to/ from IRCC.

I choose Electronic notes from Immigration officer. In GCMS one section it show you incoming and outgoing Correspondences anyway.

How about you log on with Sponsor's information and then click on "in progress" under Sponsorship Application Status. Then you should see the dependent.

but i was told that once the Sponsorship is approved, a separate link is created for you parents

looks like link is created for Principal Applicant only

So she requested Medical Form which they sent in July and completed exam . Now I am worried!

Did anyone experience this situation? Please please your suggestions/comments!

Normally quite a few people are experiencing loss of communication via email, and at the same time if you explain that you lost the communication sent, they would provide you some grace time

in my point of view, you just request them to resend the PCC and Medical letter by Postal service

and submit your medical and PCC.

you need PR, so just do what they ask, and get your PR at the earliest possible

I think it depends on the office where your file was transferred for further processing. In my case, file was transferred in March to Moscow, and my parents got they passports with PR visas in early august. We didn't get any request for an additional documents, but the medical took longer than we tought. My dad got an additional request for cardiologist, stress test, eco heart test. After we sent all results, he got another request for gerontologist report ( My dad turns 79 this year) and creatinine test.

Markwaiting123, where is your parents PR application being processed,

as you know ksenya is tracking the 2011 applications, check is link you would have some idea.

in case of Ottawa it is taking two to three months

My application has been forwarded to Colombo, Sri Lanka. That's why I'm worried.. I don't the time frames since no ones application has been sent to Sri Lanka. I hope it's the same processing time has Ottawa...
