I have 3 questions which I hope somebody here can answer for me:

1. Approximately how long does it take for a new immigrant before he/she can sponsor his/her parents for Canadian PR?

2. Approximately how long does it take the parents to get their PR after their child initiates their application?

3. Can younger siblings who have come of age be sponsored for PR?

I got medical request today for my parents and the dependent child. File was transferred on 26 july to New Delhi and on august 02 ,2016 they asked for the travel history since they turned 18. Please update my status in the forum.

my file was transferred to Ottawa office on 7th July 2016, on my file we do not have any dependents, just my father and mother and so far we haven't received any communication from Ottawa Visa Office.

My parents are currently living in India.

Just curious to know if anyone on the forum with similar situation as me?

What you mean by strategy? go to MP Office? or Minister's office? send letter? or Court? My file is not even DM1. I can think only the court. May be mine understanding is wrong , but if anyone else has another plan?

Hello All again,

I know only few has been left behind. May be only me from 2010. It is very painful when you feel you are only left . Any how, I had created the google spread sheet to track time, ONLY for Secondary/Pending review applications. Some people also included from 2011.

I really appreciate all of those, who provided their time line to track this information, so that people like me can estimate about their turn

This information is very useful. Let me tell . I had visited many consultants to know about options. Only one of two of them was good. Other wise every one is trying to get your hard earned money while putting you in more trouble. They may suggest you, lets reapply, or lets send another application under humanitarian ground. While grantee for nothing

So one hand you are going through pain another hand people are there to loot you

Also request to those whose application was in pending review/Secondary review and had cleared (Decision made) and did not provided information, please provide information so that situation can be more clear

Do we need to medical insurance for parents for the first 90 days? Do lots of peoples bought it in this forum or is there any alternate for that.

Just preparing in advance in case I get PPR soon.

I don't think it is MUST. But as they (parents) will NOT get Health benefits in first 90 days, so lots of people buy private insurance, just in case parents needs to see the doctor OR if any emergency happened. So it is just to be safe. I think it is good to buy one.
