hi evry1 i applied for my parents in dec2010 got aor after submission of additional docs dated november,no SA so far 2 dependents and mom dad were sponsored can delay be because i had removed my x husband frm application and at time of application he cosigned ,but income frm 2010 year was all mine however his 2009 income was included and after divorce i withdraw his name and now worried if cic finds me short of income for 2009,but i thought they need to show 12 month preceeding income ,any1 help please really streesed

I don't know why I was reassessed. .I just got an email from cic requesting my paystubs and Noa for the previous year . I send them but didn't hear anything

seems u provide some information to cic.when u get email? and did u provide option c when cic request forms in augest 2014?

Yes I provided Noa for the the year 2013.. coz they requested documents in 2014. Now in Feb 2015 cic requested NOA for the year 2014.

Yes I provided Noa for the the year 2013.. coz they requested documents in 2014. Now in Feb 2015 cic requested NOA for the year 2014.

You applied in April 2011 so last year when you received document request it said send Option C printout for the year you applied and the previous year.

Therefore all you should have sent was option C printouts for just 2010 and 2011.
Maybe because instead you have sent 2013 NOA they are now checking to see if you actually met the financial requirements in the earlier years and this has led to this unfortunate delay in your case.

My parents are going to book upfront medical for PR. I have a question about disclosing medical history to the panel doctor. My dad has hypertension, diabetes (insulin) and stent inserted for kidney arteries. All of this has been stable for over 4 years with bunch of medications. Does one see any importance of disclosing stent insertion to avoid un-necessary referral to kidney specialist by the panel doctor? Should one be completely honest to the panel doctor even though it could jeopardise the PR? Please advice.

Hi Aujla,

Your case is exactly like ours and your timelines matching ours perfectly. I applied for parents sponsorship with 1 dependent in Dec 2010, submitted papers in Sept 3 2014 and got AOR in Nov 20 2014. No sponsorship approval yet. I called CIC and they told me that since I added my spouse as co-signer my file is on hold and they are doing some checks. I believe same thing happened to you as well because you removed your co-signer from app, they might have put your file on hold too.

Hi,

Unfortunately, you cannot sponsor your siblings, unless you are alone here and no single relative. That will be a special case. Your brother or sister must apply based on their own qualifications. You cannot sponsor them, only parents and grandparents and their dependents can be sponsored.

From which province are you? I think some province like Alberta or Manitoba have provincial nominee. You might want to check that out if you're from one of these provinces. I'm not an expert on that I just have a friend from Alberta I believe was able to sponsor his relative by way of provincial nomination. Please check cic website. Or if some senior members know about provincial nomination may wAnt to extend some insights.

im in ottawa so from what i understand i have to be living in alberta or manitoba to sponsor them through the provincial nominee program?
