Wondering about flagpoling ... I've read all the other forms about it.. Usually workers do it. Not too much about Parent sponsorship. I am wondering if it's possible with a non english speaking Mother. Am I allowed to answer for her or translate ? I know officers usually ask about criminal records and talk about SIN cards, etc. Any experiences in this forum ? Let me know. This forum has been a huge part of support. Getting close to the end of a 5.5 year journey.

The whole process is super easy and really smooth. You can stand with your mother at the immigration counter. There is no issue at all. She just needs to sign the CoPR in-front of immigration officer and that's it. There will be no interview or anything. Once the parents are landed do people apply for their PR cards ?

On landing they will need to provide their address in Canada to immigration officer. The PR card will be sent to them at this address.

Current processing time for PR card is 42 days.

Thanks! Does parents need to prove that have been in Ontario for 3 months by showing bills to apply for OHIP? They will be staying with us.

No, they can apply immediately with the id required on Ohip form. But they will not receive activated Ohip cards until the 3 month wait period after they have landed or be able to use any service until after the 3 month period.

Did you not send police certificates when you got document request back in July 2014. Are they asking you to resend new ones now or is this your first time.

No they did not asked for police certificates in July 2014 and i did not submitted it. this is first time we will be submitting it..
