My parents sent their medical on January 4 and they have a deadline until January 18. Ecas was not showing anything. So this morning I sent CIC ottwa an email to see if they received my medical.

They confirmed they did in the afternoon and they will update ecas soon.

we have completed the upfront medical back in November and submitted along with our documents requested. Today received an email requesting to do the medical. Do we have to redo the medical? Or that was sent in error.

Anyone experienced the same situation? please advice.

I think case specific email is the best way as you have a record of the email you send and any reply received.

Usually for how long they hold the passports? I send our passports on 30th DEC and they were received on 31st DEC. First working day was 4th of JAN 2016 I believe and today it's 8th of JAN 2016 but no new from them. When should I expect to get them back?

P.S. Office is CPC-Ottawa.

Hi,

I've got the passport request for my parent from LONDON visa office to send the passport to VFS Islamabad. I sent the passport to Islamabad through TCS courier, but was refused delivery from VFS. Now waiting to get back the passport from TCS and resend through Gerry's (Gizri office).

Anybody have the same situation plz..

The instruction on the letter stated clearly to send it through Xpresspost with a return envelop xpresspost of required sizing and specification of pictures clearly stated. The letter came from London office where the case was processed.

Upfront medical was done in May-June.
Additional documents were requested in September
Police clearance was again requested in October and submitted
Received passport request on Jan5th

I had sent an email because we had not received our medicals and was sent a reply that we do not need to submit any other documents and that medical request will be sent when our file has reached that stage of processing. About a week later we got our medical request.

The medicals were submitted to Ottawa before the new year and I again emailed to inform them about the medical and got a reply within a day that they were received.

However neither times did Ottawa request new police certificates. I had sent mine when we got the doc request. Do we not only need new police certificates if they are actually requested.

I have not been asked for any documents since the medicals done in first week of Nov 2015.

Do you suggest that we get the new police clearance done without waiting for any request from cic-Ottawa??

That's what I thought we need to do.. anyone else in the same boat ? can anyone else speak to experience ? How can I tell if they need more documents ? Should I order notes ?
