Congrats. One question after medical was there any correspondence until you got passport request ? I know they asked fingerprints. Did that delayed the case ? Can you please provide detailed updates on the timeline after medical ?

Hi,

After medicals in april 2015, my dad recieved a call in june 2015, to come for fingerprint scanning in July 2015. After fingerprint scanning it took 4 months to get PPR which was on Nov 22 2015. As parents was in Canada on visitor visa. Passports were sent to Ottawa and came back with visa issued yesterday on Dec 7 2015.

Thanks. My dad also has less than 6 months of stay inside Canada and I didn`t send their RCMP certificate. Now wondering if I should send it or wait for the request first, or have it done in case they ask.

Finally a good news got PPR in email. But they didnt send any instructions regarding my brother who is already in Canada. Replied them back, now have to wait for their response before sending the passports.

Hi Picky, Have you sent the passports to embassy yet how much time it takes to process from Islamabad

Good news, I got a Passport Request PR for my parents today AlhamdoLillah. They ask me to submit passport in CPC-O (Ottawa) and also mention that they will not send passport back outside North America. So I was thinking to ask them to change the station from CPC-O to Islamabad as my parents are in Pakistani currently. I need your advice friends.

Congratulations. Same case is with me. I am calling my parents back here in Canada caz at this point I don't want to make the things again complex by requesting CIC to let them submit their passports from outside Canada.

Email them stating URGENT in the subject line and state that your parents current mailing address is in Pakistan now and do it right away... they should be able to send you passport submission information for Islamabad. Otherwise if you can get them in Canada before 30 days expiry to submit the passport you can do that also.. Good luck!

Did you confirm that is it possible to Land on rainbow bridge border for Permanent Resident even tough you don't have VISA for USA. where did you get this information. i have got the passport request for my parent from CPC Ottawa but they are in Pakistan, they still have the super visa, so i was thinking that i should call them here and submit their passport to CPC Ottawa for Immigration visa Stamp but then they have to go back home for re enter as Permanent residence. but if its possible then its good. Where did you get this information. did you confirm that with the authorities??

In any case they have to come to Canada. would suggest you to call them on Supervisa. Submit the passports from here. Once you will get back the passports, you can visit any nearest Service Ontario or Service Canada office for changing landing status. Otherwise you can also visit Buffalo border. It's not very far.

Ecas was updated that medical was received. However, its still shows 'in process' under both categories.

Neemann. Check your inbox I sent you a message. We are very close in our timeline. I never received confirmation on Ecas. Our medical was finished early November. I am waiting patiently for the passport request.
