hi everyone, i just noticed that the ecas status of the application has also been updated:

We started processing your application on May 29, 2015.

Correct me if I am wrong, But I guess your file has already been transferred around middle of September.

Hi Friends,
If any one can comment on this timeline, I would really appreciate this.
My parents received a Medical Request in June 2 nd week and then they sent it in July 2nd week.
From July until now,there was no acknowledgment on the online status.
but this week it says that application " In process" but the weird thing is it says we have started processing your application on June 10, 2015.
Could anyone please tell me what is the next step.
If we are to get a passport request,then when is should come?

Hi Everyone,

Got the call last Friday to say the passport was ready for pickup from the courier and it was collected yesterday. Finally it is all over or almost over since she is not here as yet but I have booked the tickets and will go collect her before Christmas.

Typically if all goes well with the Medical you should get a passport request. There is not set time for it, it varies but could take from a month to 3 months it would seem assuming they don't request further medical or medical information.

Did they ask you for additional documents?

We got passport request via email for my parents last Friday. We mailed in the passports same day to Ottawa (Since my parents are already in Canada).

CIC should receive the passports by Thursday this week. How long do you think they usually take to stamp the passports?

Did you get an option that you can send the passports to either local visa office or Ottawa? If possible, can you post the exact wording from the passport request letter?

Some progress in ECAS:

Sponsorship application's status has been changed to "In Process". Hoping to receive the approval soon

It doesn't say when they exactly started working on the application.

Do you guys know how long it usually takes for the approval?

FYI:

My application has been referred to secondary review due to increased family size. But I never received a letter/e-mail requesting additional income documents.

No they didn't. I provided all my status changes with additional info. I am just guessing the delay is due to increase in family size.
But I did send a couple emails to CPC-M for status update. They just assured me everything was there and they will eventually get there

No they did not ask for any addition documents.
This infact is the first update since the medicals were submitted.
I did not receive an acknowledgment for the medicals as well.
Did you receive any update between sending the medicals and " In process" stages.

No I did not receive any update. You should contact visa office by email and explain that you did not receive any correspondence from the visa office after you sent the medical. Write urgent in the subject of your email and also order GCMS note it will take about a month for you to receive it. I had a similar issue so I ordered GCMS note and found out that they have sent out a mail asking for additional documents.

I got approval email on Sept 28, 2015, but my Ecas status for sponsorship still "Application Received", but the status for PR has changed to "In Process" as I received medical request on Oct 6, 2015.

Hope this help, and please anyone has any ideas for the Ecas for sponsorship with "Application Received" is normal or not after approval email received?

Hello Senior members please help. I just recieved an email from delhi visa office requesting to pay rprf. I have my father as main applicant mother as spouse and sister as dependent under 19 at time of application over 22 now. I have already paid a total of $1300. Can you please tell me what the right amount i should be paying and why is Delhi office asking for it when it is already paid and I have sent reciepts in. Is this fee seperate then what i have already paid? Please advise asap. Thanks in advance.
