2005/2006/2007 APPLICANTS UNDER FSW - ANY UPDATE?

Hi guys,

I wanna start this thread for those who applied under FSW last 2005, 2006 and 2007 and are still waiting for feedback from CEM. Just to give you a brief background, we applied last January 2005 and was given a file number last Feb 28, 2005. We did not receive any feedback until sept 20, 2010 wherein we were asked for additional documents. Last July 6, 2011, we already received our medical forms. We just had our MEDICALS at Nationwide last July 30, 2011. Does anyone have the same experience? How long does it normally take before we receive the PASSPORT request?

I am aslo a 2007 applicant from Jamaica. I have submitted my documents in April 2009 and after that i have hear nothing.

Hi Jihems,

Did you make a follow-up? I guess it's about time you do so... If you'll check the average waiting time, you are already beyond what is expected. By the way, are from the Phils?

I have made several contacts to my VO and was told that my file is awaiting documents assessment.
I really don't know how long it will take. I am using the owner of this site David Cohen as my representative.

I also belong to the longest waiting category Submiited our application in march 2005and received AOR in April 2005. We haven't received any news from CIC Manila for any updates.

@ Vitomanolo, did you make a follow up when they requested you to submit updates? was the letter for updates sent thru email or smail mail?

Hi gico,

I did not make any follow up. I received a request for a document update last Sept 2010 from the Canadian embassy. The advise was done thru email and not thru snail mail. Did you apply on your own or thru an agency?

hi vitomanolo.. congrats nga pala at tapos na pala kayo nagmedical. at least yan cgurado na talaga ang visa. Goodluck. Im sure anytime this year lalabas na yan. sa amin, till now wala pa balita. update ng docs wala pa rin. Praying na sana soon...

we have an agency. naku, napaisip tuloy ako. If you receive the request for update thru email, do I need to inform them of my updated email address? kasi ang nailagay ko atang email address ko eh yung email add ko pa sa dating work ko na di ko na na-aaccess. Ano kayang magandang gawin?

Yes.. You need to inform them ng bagong email address mo. Ask them also kung meron sila email syo kasi nag change ka na ng email add. Chances are, meron sila update syo pero hindi mo lang na receive. I read kasi sa ibang.thread na pipilitin daw Ng CEM matapos lahat Ng backlog for 2005,2006 and 2007 this year

I have my file number reconing from August 17, 2006 and stated that my application will be processed within a period of 60 months or five years.

I am still waiting good news on my application which is now running 5 years. Any update please. Am from the Philippines

I think CEM is now finishing all backlogs from 2005..... You are already next in line... We've already waited this long.... A little more patience my friend...
