What if the people submitted bank draft, there's no way to know if it has been paid or not. So there's more suspense....

hi friends my application reached cic on 12 aug 2011 ,so is there any chance of getting visa as my points is 70,but am not sure that my application selected coz there is no update from cic on total application received after 10 aug 2011 last updated no was 419 so plz reply me soon..

I guess the cut off is around 67 and you are above it, why do you worry about that? The cut off has nothing to do with the Cap...The cap is actually a threshold on the number of application accepted this year....

Hi there - your bank should be able to tell you this, some may charge for the information but they can tell if the BD has been cashed becasue the money leaves their account at this time. Also BD's wil be slower for a transaction unlike a CC payment which is pretty much instant, paying by either route does NOT affect your chances of being in the quota.

And it makes no difference whether you have just the minimum points or lots more - they are all processed equally. Thought i would add that as some people seem to think more points means more chance

You need to send 2 copies, one included with the CIC checklist and the other with VO checklist. That is what I did and hope ok.

You are in the comfort zone with regards to points, but I am afraid you may be caught by time as we expect the cap reached before this weekend. Mine reached CIC on 25th July, but I cannot tell if within the cap. Lets wait and see. Before now cap was updated almost dayly, but for some days now no change, may be the next update will read 500

I wonder why they have such a delay for cc/ bd charging this time... The wait is agonizing, I agree..
And they're still accepting applications... No idea... Has the cap reached, has it not... ? Anyway patience is the name of the game..
