I wonder how many of us gave credit card details as opposed to attaching bankers drafts? Going the CC route seemed easier for me, as I'd have to cash in again if my application was unsuccessful.

Am feeling the same, but don't give up hope just yet. I so want them to take the credit card payment. I am even checking my spam email to see if they have sent anything. I've already been rejected before for missing out one form field, so I really hope the same doesn't happen again :(

The website does say to start using the new forms and guide from July 18th, so we shouldn't be penalised for using the previous pack of forms, as that's one of my main concerns.

Hopefully, we'll hear one way or another soon. Good luck friends!

alright. Im not going to go through copies of my docs one more time to do a completeness check. I will just wait for the ax to fall if it must.

who would have ever thought the time would come when people actually looked forward to getting their credit card bills. Lol

CCard is an easy route but risky!! At times i heard in these forums that many applicarnt's case was returned becoz CIO was unable to charge their credit cards!!

They just try to charge the card 2-3 times and after that they return your package!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the other hand BD is safe, but in their guide its written that "**your clearing bank should be in Canada also". and "validity of BD should be minimum 6 months"

** For e.g if you have xyz bank in your home country and if that bank dont have any branch in Canada, it must have any official arrangement with any clearing bank in Canada!!! You can check this from your bank manager!!!

At least they try a few times. Which means that after the first unsuccessful time, probably due to the fact that it turns into a pending transaction whilst the fraud department of your CC company get in touch with you to authorise large payment from Canada, if they try again (and providing that you have an adequate credit limit) then it should go through fine.

CIO wouldn't have suggested this as a payment option if it was too problematic for them. And if you get in touch with your CC company in advance to advise them that there may be a large amount from Canada debited on your CC, then it is less of a surprise for them.

Do not worry people, it will be fine. Just be as prepared as you can.

Yes, I had same person signing. It looked like an odd name to me, almost not real, until I saw someone else on here had same person!

i agree with you on the tern "odd name"....i still am not sure how to pronounce the name...lol....

now let's hope for best.....

But they should phone the applicant for alternative Credit or Debit Card... that is what every company/ organisation do..

now I am checking my credit card statement online 50 times a day.. ;)

same here. :-) talk about obsessive compulsive. I've set my default news provider to cbc.ca, my default page to canada.com and yahoo.ca

I think all of the forum members love Canada too much... When I saw that my application is received.. I felt like winning a lottery.. ;)

Hi ravi,

what is your visa office?

Hi Viz,
My Visa office is New Delhi

Dont want to scare anyone guys but i have also heard that CC payment is way too risky as applications have been returned by CIC in the past when they were unable to carry out the online transaction due to some link error.
And most consultants strongly discourage use of CC method as payment

I dont know whether to be sad or happy to see that only 52 applications received under noc 1122.
As many people whose applications were received by CIO on 6th july nd onwards are not in that list of 52.
I say that bcoz there CC has been charged yet.
So i guess therez a huge pile of noc 1122 applications on the desk of CIO waiting to b processed.
I also think that more than 500 applications under noc 1122 has already reached CIO and out of that they have managed to check 52 applications for their completeness as of now.

Well, I used the CC payment form and just filled out the form three times for different credit cards that I have, so that if one do not thru they can give it a try with another one. Best practice sharing.

CIC just posted the number of complete applications received. Has anyone's credit card been charged or money draft cashed?
