I used to appreciate your participation before. However, as of recent you've become a low life troll. You got your citizenship already!!
Can you please move on with your life and stop with these distasteful jokes/comments.
Lol, must be someone more and more people are hitting the “ignore” button about - to move on with life means one needs to have a life to start with ... if someone continue hovering here after the whole thing is done just to feel superior, that person most likely has no life and getting Canadian citizenship is probably the only thing she would ever achieve becuae it doesn’t require any skill and talent , please don’t take that away from her

I have seen you guys saying then it will take 36 months?????
That's a total BS. It is still 12 months at Check Processing Times, which is for most applicants, is an average and is updated weekly. There is no further limit set for an 'out-of-routine' application, cases which are small in numbers and cannot be ascertained a time limit for. No one, either in IRCC or over the forums, can predict that. We can all wish for the earliest tho.

Since you have got RQ, your application considered non routine. Non routine application can take upto 36 months.
Yes yes yes, it has to be 36 months. Can't be 35 or 37. Do you know why? Because 36 = 12 * 3. Gotta be multiples of 12!!

Hello everyone,

ONLY After completing exactly 12 months :(, we will have the right to call IRCC ...

Before that, it is a waste of time complaining ...
since WE CAN NOT DO ANYTHING.:p
We just try to share our frustrations ...
I'm in the same boat ... :D
I'm checking the site every day o_O, even though it will not make any difference ...
I'm a drop in the ocean...

And to see someone from a different region to be grant with the citizenship months before me with similar timeline just because of some particularity that we are not aware ... and have no right to know before "12 months" according to system ...
it is more than frustrating ... it is disappointing ... :confused:o_O

but as you I can not do anything to change this bureaucracy...;)
I CAN ONLY CRY TOGETHER!!!

This processing time tells you how long it took us to process most complete applications, in the past.

Your application may be delayed or returned if it’s not complete.

If it’s been longer than the time shown above since you applied, check your application status. If you don’t see an update, contact us using the Web form.

You always have the right to call IRCC no matter it's been 12 months or not, the only difference is after 12 months they would send a note to your local office, but according to the agent on the phone, there's no guarantee the local office would do anything upon receiving the note.... so there's really no difference LOL

itsmyid you are right...;)

I tried ... and I get the same usual response ...
"your process is still within the mean time ...
we can not provide details about the progress of the process,
call us AFTER 12 months."

So.. because of it I said.. we can cry together...

How about you? any news?
no news, call center agents won't even notify the processing officer even though only a week away from the 12-year mark.:(

@itsmyid one year for you today? did you try calling them?
No, I am sure if I call today I will get the same BS again, since it was mailed today one year ago, but was RECEIVED one day after, so I will call on Monday, when it reaches a hard 12 months plus a couple of days

Like I said, even after 12 months, the only difference is they will send a note to the local office, which may or may not have any impact ... so in the end it's basically no difference.. I think the best way to deal with it is just forget about this whole thing and maybe one day it will eventually happen when you are not expecting it

Sent a webform inquiry last Monday saying I only have a week left and no test invite yet don't think it will be done under 12 months. I haven't been asked for FP or anything, so I'm non-routine.

They finally replied:

We are happy to provide you with information that will help you understand the current status of your Application for Canadian Citizenship - Adults.

  • Your application is currently at the IRCC office in Mississauga Ontario. This office is verifying if you meet the eligibility requirements to be granted Canadian citizenship. Rest assured that you will be contacted if additional information is needed.
  • The next step will be to invite you to attend the citizenship test. The local office will schedule an appointment for you in due course, if necessary.
  • We recommend that you verify the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) online tool regularly to see when a new notice is sent to you
In the meantime, we invite you to visit our website for the estimated processing time and for the steps following the submission of a Citizenship application.
