Got my OCI card today. I submitted (walk in) on June 11th and got it on July 21. 40 days - not too bad IMO :)

Yeah, it got processed on the OCI site on 7th July. On the BLS website - it says ready to be dispatched and when i looked at the purlator tracking - it says it will be delivered sometime today (hopefully)

Thanks a bunch. This is really useful information as I did not know that the CAN# was also the tracking number. Looks like it is out for delivery today. Thanks again!

Also, my status on the BLS website states: Application Status (Passport ready For Dispatch after OCI stamping) Anyone knows A. How long it will take after this change to receive the OCI card? B. Is there a way to track it?

My date for 'Document received at - Toronto' is 7 July. Not sure how long it takes after this.

You can just let them know when you submit the application

Hey Rishab Did they keep the original Canadian passport?

Let us know how this goes? I am going in 2 weeks and hoping they do not keep the Canadian Passport as I need to travel the following week.

When you went for the walk-in; did they take your Canadian passport or did they just check it and give it back to you?

Yes. I applied by post. It took around ~50 days for me to get back my SC

I applied in Toronto. For surrender certificate (that I submitted on Jan 19th) I did not submit my original passport (passport)

You don't have to submit your original canadian passport for SC.
