This is a very pathetic system. We have tried to get an appointment for 2 weeks now. Called them, emailed them, even visited the office twice, but no avail. Any Advice?

you can re-enter Canada on a private vehicle (rented, owned, borrowed or a ride with some in a personal vehicle) - however, you will not be allowed to board any commercial transport by the commercial carrier (air, boat, and probably a bus as well) without your PR card.

My wife's card was mailed on June 24, according to the call center agent. (landed in February!!) I hope we all get our PR cards this week!!

I am in the same boat. My wife's PR card was mailed over 2 weeks ago, according to the call center agent, but we still haven't received it. I have no idea how to track this..... Does the Canada Post Lockout have anything to do with this? I remember that it only took 5-6 bussiness days for my PR...

I took the trip in April this year.

I traveled across the border on a rental car with only my COPR and passport. Didn't face any issues. I called CIC and also checked the website - it is perfectly legal to cross into Canada using a personal vehicle (rental or owned) using only the COPR and the passport.

Call CIC - your case is considerably over time. Call them or email them - and tell them your about your case.

We submitted screenshots of our Watsapp Call history as well as screenshots of our Skype Chat history. So, it is perfectly logical to do so in today's day and age. we submitted them and everything went smoothly, Thank God!!
