I am an OPNP applicant. I applied mid August. no AOR yet. I am worried. How do you know OPNP has a different timeline?

I applied in mid August. No AOR yet - waiting. Contact CIC, by email or phone and tell them. They are slow, but they can at least acknowledge the receipt of the application within "weeks".

Consult a Lawyer (safest bet). You could apply for a work permit through your employer. You can also try to Bridge your current work permit. Ask reason for refusal in a mail or call to CIC.

When did CIC recieve your Application package?

My Opinion, apply to CEC or wait. Express entry guarantees 6 months - after you get an invitation to apply - but they don't say how long will it take for them to issue an invitation to apply - which can add another 6 months!!!

I know someone who's extension of work permit application is on hold as well - because of this whole review!! This is very frustrating!! If you are working, you can continue to work legally - as you have implied status because your application is in process. but don't leave the country after...

Thank mate!! :) You should apply with all documents ready - and preferably, use one type of document (phone bills, credit card statements, etc.) to prove 1 year of residency in Ontario.

HI guys, I was wondering on the time line of receiving the file number. I applied mid march and it has been almost 2 months. How long does it take to get a file number? and how is the file number sent to us? by post or email?
