O_guy, that is true, but according to local visa companies, they are still processing. The visa centre is open. Current wait times is two weeks.

My husband applied for a visitor's visa in May and it got transferred to the Beijing office. It's September and we still haven't heard anything back. We have called, and emailed and everything. Don't expect to hear anything back soon.

I doubt that this would affect her application. Did they say why they rejected the visa?

Thanks, I thought that too. I also thought perhaps because of the strike, it's just taking longer than usual, but it seems really odd that it would take this long. I'm going to try and call them tomorrow and try to figure out what is going on. I'll let you know what I hear.
