Hi,
if you have British passport, you do NOT need to send in your passport. The CIC will ask for passport photocopies if you have not included them in your application.
You can land as immigrant at Alberta/Montana border, or you can make an appointment at your nearest CIC office to do the...
Hit a small bump when going to Service Canada to change SIN. The immigration officier @carway forgot to stamp my wife's passport, so my wife has to wait till her PR card arrives before she can change her SIN to a permanent one. We went to the border service at Calgary airport to ask if they can...
Folks, just wanna report that my family had done immigration landing on Saturday (Aug 10) at Carway.
Got there pretty late as kids have already pre-booked some other activities. So the immigration officer was not very happy. Apparantly, they need to give priority to the travellers over us...
After all this long way, no one can blame you for not having much patience left.. :)
I would have done the same, but I have a little boy, need a bit more careful planning. Anyway, I will take the opportunity to visit either Waterton or Write on Stone provincial park to make the trip more...
Hrik,
Don't worry, it will come soon.
it probably does not hurt to send CIC an email to ask though. Please do follow the CIC instruction and include all the information needed, otherwise they won't reply.
Below is the automated mail reply from CPP Ottawa office.
If your request requires...
Got my CoPR yesterday, planning to do the landing over the weekend @carpark.
The dates on CoPR says July 4th, so I guess CIC is just doing double/triple checks before sending it out.. or maybe they just forgot it.
anyway, it is a huge relief, now it feels that my life is in my own hands again...
what is the reason for Canadian experience class rejection?
even if you get nomination from Manitoba or another province, your application will still go to CIC, right? so you need to first make sure that CIC won't use the same reasons to reject you.
Hi, lez_s
I hope things will hold longer for you. But if the worst happens, maybe you can talk with your employer and see if they can keep you on the payroll, but you will take some unpaid leave. I heard that some employers would happily agree, because dismissing an employee under their...
Hi,
I would advise you to stay on this job, even if it means lower hourly salary and less working hours. If you switch to another employer, it is almost certain that your PNP will be cancelled and you have go through the same process again. You are anyway so close to the finishing line, after...
The rule is that you need to make a reaonable effort to settle down in the province/territory that nominated you. But I don't really know how "reasonable" is defined.
Hrik,
Congrats. I am on the same boat, no PPR or PP copy request yet, though my status has changed to "decision made" since last Monday. I guess it is not uncommon.
Good luck,
Plussa
No PPR yet. On second thought, I have sent in copies of my passport when I filed my app (and since then, no exit/entry from Canada, and no change of passport), so I am not sure if CPP-O will request me to re-sent them.
Eagerly checking my snail/electronic/voice mailboxes many times a day. :o
