Would I be right in saying that roughly according to the progress chart.... From going " in process" to decision made is about 30-45 days.

I am just exhausted with all this now.it just plays on my mind to much.
I was one of the first to get medical request and cause I was so stupid not to send in my Pcc right away, thinking I was doing good, as to be the very latest and up to date.... And it has put me way behind.gutted.

Hit a small bump when going to Service Canada to change SIN. The immigration officier @carway forgot to stamp my wife's passport, so my wife has to wait till her PR card arrives before she can change her SIN to a permanent one. We went to the border service at Calgary airport to ask if they can help, but the officier there says that they can not back date the stamps, and they can not stamp our passport for the current day because we are not arriving from outside Canada (and that stamp does not even help because Service Canada will check if the dates match between COPR and passport stamps). It is not a big deal for her because her temporary SIN is still valid, but still it is a small unpleasant surprise.

So, just a friendly reminder to the fellow members to make sure that your passport and COPR are stamped properly.

Hey all, quick update!

I sent my passport to Ottawa on Aug 7, after 2 days canada post couldnt find my package. :o
They couldnt tell me if it was delivered or not, since it only showed up in their system leaving Calgary.
I raised hell with canada post to find the package with my passport in it, just in case it really was lost.
At the same time I kept tracking the return package just in case it was delivered, then finally on Aug 15 the tracking number was activated and it got delivered to me the next day.

:'( I was in tears, I would have spent alot of money trying to replace the passport.

Anyways I have my passport back from CIC now. Am going to carway this weekend to land.

Hi Everyone,

Can someone please guide me, on which email I should send the scanned receipt of RPRF?

Should it be CPP OTTAWA or Sydney NS?

Help would be highly appreciated!

Thanks

Hi. Question for those who have landed.

1. How does CIC contact us for the PPR? Is it via e-mail or snail mail?
2. I have a temporary resident visa for Canada. Do I still need to send my passport to get a Permanent Resident Visa?

Its been a month since I filed my RPRF (filed: 19-Jul-2013) and based on the average stats, I should be getting a PPR in the next couple of days.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers.

congrats! truely happy for you.
