Correct, the new law won't be enforced before July 2015.

But the law says they see last four years from the date of application. So, why would they check the period after application date?

Hi Jimmy, How many days you had on your credit when you applied for pr card renewal.

It seems you have been out of Canada more than 1095 days which might result in refusal of PRTD and you may have to file an appeal to gain entry into canada.

I don't have a US visa. Can I apply for a US visa on the basis of landing papers? I don't know how long it takes to process the visa.

It seems it all depends on the immigration officer to allow urgent processing, if he is satisfied.There is no set criteria for this.

if urgent processing is refused can we apply for travel documents before leaving canada? is it allowed under specific circumstances?

Furthermore, I did my Masters in Canada during the last 730 days, submitted my children's last 2 yrs canadian schooling record, my full time employment history in canada and, the last 2yrs CRA income tax assessments. I feel this should be enough for urgent processing. Isn't it?
