just read the check list of work permit application. its mentioned "you must submit the following items" :job offer from your employer in canada, evidence that you meet the requirements of the job offer.....so my partner is going to apply for open work permit, does he need to submit those...

Hi Sturd, thank you for your reply. Am going to canada for my postgraduate course at university of windsor..and my partner is going for one year management training in a institution...now he is going to apply for TRV... just dont know if its allowed to go one year training for TRV.
