Hi I got the message today from CIC that mine and my spouse's BOWP has been approved (my application for PR is still in process). I had applied online on Dec 21, 2015. So it took less than 3 months. Does anyone know how long it takes to arrive in the mail after receiving the email from CIC? Thanks.

YES.. My RCMP request email was sent to my agent although it is addressed to me. They won't send emails to both. Also, it is not for everyone but random.

I think an RCMP check is for certain individuals only whose record CIC cannot find online. If they're able to check it for themselves, they may request it from all applicants.

Are you sure that the processing times on the CIC website indicate from the days from the AOR is issued and not from the day the application for PR is received by the CIC? What is the basis for your assumption? Can anyone else comment on this, please? Thanks.

I too have heard it time and again that the AOR is not enough. However, the applicants have no other document to show as a proof. CIC doesn't issue anything other than the AOR letter. There are people who may have been refused, but the reasons provided for refusal may be different than an AOR.

They have clearly mentioned in the AOR letter: "Do not submit/send any document unless they asked for it". So, there's no point of sending your latest documents to them when the file is in process. Thanks.

I have my spouse and kids with me in Canada and we applied for all of us together. I don't think anyone received their AOR on the estimated time. What is that time anyway?

I agree. The CIC sends only an initial letter acknowledging your application and receipt for the payment for a PR. They send it only to those whose application is complete and would be processed. As far as "letter of eligibility" I have not heard anyone getting it. If someone has more...
