Hey folks,
My nickname is ojei. I have a question. My PGWP is going to expired on this coming August, and I'm planning to go back to China for couple months based on personal issues, can I apply the BOWP online outside Canada? The website indicated that the applicant must be in Canada, so that means I can't apply it??? Can I apply it now due to I still in Canada?? Thanks!!

You need to apply for a BOWP anytime before 4 months of your PGWP expiry. So if your PGWP expires in August .. you would be eligible to apply for a BOWP in May.
if you're planning on leaving for China and coming back .. make sure you have a multiple entry visa stamped on your passport for returning to canada. And make sure to be back in Canada by July or 40 days before your PGWP expires because a BOWP takes 36 days

Address can be updated thru ECAS when you check your application status
PCC Can be mailed to their Ottawa address
and VIsa .. i dont know what ur looking to send

I think it won't hurt to submit it. I am also planning to send it once I get my NOA. My experience counts from May 2013-September 2014

They have clearly mentioned in the AOR letter: "Do not submit/send any document unless they asked for it".
So, there's no point of sending your latest documents to them when the file is in process.

On a more serious note, mtymexmontreal is a PEQ applicant, not CEC applicant. It's different. Our MRs are not coming anytime soon!

If he's not a CEC Sept applicant, why is he posting here? To give heart attacks to other genuine applicants?

Hi, I applied for BOWP for me and my spouse on Feb. 1st, 2014. I have not received anything yet from them except the acknowledgement email.

Thanks for your reply. Forgot to mention that I'm holding Hong Kong passport, therefore, I don't need any multiple entry visa. Besides, I think I will not coming back before August. naa dude .. u cannot apply for a BOWP if your outside canada cos that defeats the purpose
