    Not sure if this still applies... http://www.cic.gc.ca/english//resources/manuals/bulletins/2008/ob076.asp And this is the forum where I got corrected and was told that you can land at a local CIC office. :))...

    Apparently, if you make an appointment with the nearest office, you can land anywhere in Canada even if the application is outland.

    Is your wife here on a visitor's visa? Have a look at Blue Cross Insurance to see if they cover pregnancy. My husband came here without PR and I got him health insurance just in case.

    Hmmmm....Im not sure the processing time in Manila but we went through Buffalo because my husband is an American. I'm sure it will be really soon if all they are doing is stamping the PR visa. I hope you get it soon :D.

    Whoops! My mistake...I did not realized you are able to set up an appointment. But then again, the family that we saw were already so close to the border, that is probably why the IO suggested flagpoling. If you are far from the border and not in a rush to land, getting an appointment might...

    TD Bank did not need any security deposit from my husband as long as he has to existing canadian credit history but only for $500.00

    If your application is Outland....you still have to leave canada and come back (flagpoling). I think in order to land you actually need to seek to go in Canada. The reason why I know is when we picked up my husband's PR from Buffalo office and cross the border to come back to Canada and...

    It will be really soon for you! Yes, relax for a bit and start a new process....SIN, OHIP, Driver's License, etc. Seems like neverending ;D but glad we are now together. It is weird that there was only one line on e-cas and after landing, the other lines showed up :))...too late now...haha!
