He got a bank account at Pres Choice fFinancial and became joint with my account. He will need security funds for a credit card so we will probably do that in November.

TD Bank did not need any security deposit from my husband as long as he has to existing canadian credit history but only for $500.00

Thankfully Nigeria is one of about 20 countries where you can just take the test and not have to start with a learner's permit.

Having travelled extensively on Nigerian roads, I have to say this is bizarre! I have made a mental note to tell my Najia husband when (if) he gets here that you cannot just drive on whatever side of the road you want to in Canada. Still, useful info.
