If I may add, another thing to consider about applying for TRV is if you will be required for an interview, the interview is going to be held in the home country of the principal applicant.

Not sure about that..But, I read on a thread here that some visa offices send out ppr in batches..I just don't know if that's true though..

Maybe apply for the TRV after you get AOR for conjugal sponsorship..It's better to try than to do nothing..who knows, your partner might get approved..
