are you from visa exempt country ? issue with our application is, the principal applicant does not have a valid visa and will need to apply for one. this might raise a red flag to the visa office.

No you won't have to wait for three years. However, be ready to expect an interview as you re-married within a year of getting divorce. VO might question your relationship. Again, this won't happen for sure but there is a high chance.

hmmm, it seems they are trying to save time by asking applicants to do landing over phone rather than scheduling it in the office. I saw one of the posts mentioned that duration of such interviews is only 15 minutes, so yes it makes sense.
