Spousal Sponsorship Fees Increase - RPRF increased from $490 to $500

I commented on the other thread as well with another link to the CiC website. Maybe it will help shed some light. In any event, if you have paid more (which I think you have now) you can/will be refunded if the fees are indeed lower.

Increased fees for common law sponsorship?

Here is another link from CiC. https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/fees.asp#permanent The Economic class is indeed $1,325 but Family Class is still $1,050.

Increased fees for common law sponsorship?

My understanding is that the new fees are for the ECONOMIC class only and don't apply to Spousal/Common-law applications. The only fee increase for these was $10 on the RPRF...

Spousal Sponsorship Fees Increase - RPRF increased from $490 to $500

What did you pay for? If you paid the Sponsorship fee + Right of Permanent Residence fee ($1050) and OWP fees ($255) then $1305 is correct.

    A question regarding spousal application!

Check your Country Specific requirements. If they don't ask for an original or notarized copy then a photocopy should be sufficient.

    Inland Sponsorship Dilemma

Try calling a few banks/credit unions to find one that let's your husband can open an account. My spouse is here on a Visitor Visa and we were able to open a joint account and she was able to open a personal account as well. You can also get a 'joint' credit card, ie. a new account under your...

Spousal Sponsorship Fees Increase - RPRF increased from $490 to $500

Thanks, I was reading the increases to Economic class thinking it also applied to Family class. In that case, it appears the online fee assessment tool is up to date, in that it is charging a $500 RPRF.

Spousal Sponsorship Fees Increase - RPRF increased from $490 to $500

Just wondering if anyone has any additional information regarding the PR fees. From what I can see on the government website, and other applications, the PR fees have increased from $550 to $825, however, when using the fee assessment tool the fees are still being calculated at $550...

    Common-law sponsorship - difficult?

It's not too hard to put an application together as the government instructions and guides are pretty straight forward. A lawyer/consultant isn't required but if you want some piece of mind and save some.... a lot of money you can prepare the application yourself and have a lawyer/consultant...

    proof of financial support

It seems contradictory that as a Temporary Resident you have to prove you will return home to your own country but for the purpose of an inland PR application you have to show you are living in Canada. Regardless, some of the documents they ask for are attainable and if they are not attainable...

COVID-19, family reunification with a new spouse

You aren't going to like my advice but I suggest you either: 1) Return home to Canada alone, and apply for a TRV for your girlfriend when the COVID-19 situation calms down. 2) Remain together in Colombia. Getting a TRV will be hard enough in the best of times (although not impossible) but...

    IMM5532 PART C confusion

You just need to answer the questions once. You can do it, she can do it, you can do it sitting in the same room together, you can push the keys on the keyboard together however you want. :) If you need more room for any of the questions you can attach a separate sheet. Write the name/date of...

List all your employment history like it asks. If you need more room attach an extra sheet as mentioned above. You do not need to include supporting documents for this section like ROE's or tax returns etc.

    Spousal sponsorship

I'd try pick chats that cover a wide range of conversations. The day to day stuff, the serious stuff (personal issues, family issues, financial issues etc), the fights even. If it's all lovey-dovey it might come across as a superficial relationship. That being said. I am not sure how much...

Visitor Visa refused for my fiancee under section 179 (b). Please Advice.

The IRCC will have access to all previous applications made. If you change the purpose of visit now to conceal her relationship to you it is risky that they will notice it. Maybe if you wait long enough before reapplying you can convince them she is just going to visit a friend but who knows.

    Visitor visa

An agent can not guarantee you a visa, nor do their applications get any special treatment from the IRCC. It really depends what you feel most comfortable with. An agent will be able to assist you in what kind of documents to collect but at the same time you can find that information online...

Spousal Sponsorship - Need help !!

Any documents you submit in a language other than English or French should be translated to English or French by a certified translator. You will need to include the original language document (or copy, see below) and the certified translation of that document. For some documents a photocopy is...

    Validate IMM1344 - without knowing sponsor's ex husband's birthday

I think you need one for each digit? So if they want YYYY-MM-DD and you don't know any of it then you'd need to put ****-**-** I don't know if it's a big deal to not know/report a birthday but maybe you want to add a small letter of explanation to explain why you don't know the date.

    Validate IMM1344 - without knowing sponsor's ex husband's birthday

I believe the instructions note that if a birthday or parts of a birthday are unknown to fill the banks in with '*'. Not sure if the form will let you do that and/or if it will validate by doing that.
