They only responded with a generic prompt. A week later they requested new LOA. So I'm hoping to hear something back this week.

Study Permit (NY or Los Angeles office) - study permit to Canada from US

IRCC sent me a message last week and for some reason requested an updated LOA, even though I didn't defer my intake. They requested I upload it on GCKey and did so. But I only submitted a Certificate of Enrolment, since I can't get new LOA. So I'm still waiting for ppr as well.

Study Permit (NY or Los Angeles office) - study permit to Canada from US

Lmao, there are two people who applied for the Winter 2021 intake in early September (not from USA) and they already received PPR (towards the end of October). Their processing times are also a lot faster than us. While some of us have been waiting for more than 5 months

Student Permit Applicants from USA( F1, OPT, H1-B), Let's Meet Here

Ah I see. The processing time in the US is one of the longest (even though we're literally attached to Canada on its southern border), while a majority of the other countries have already been up and running, and their processing times are a lot faster. Congratulations!

Student Permit Applicants from USA( F1, OPT, H1-B), Let's Meet Here

Building off of what @nmp98 said, I've looked into older threads and some have noted that it could be that something is being updated in your file on their end which could mean that someone is working on it, updating background checks, reviewing application, etc.

Can you please post the link to that thread? Did they send a webform before getting the ppr? I've been waiting for more than 2 months as well and ended up sending a webform. They haven't responded yet.

Study Permit (NY or Los Angeles office) - study permit to Canada from US

It seems like those people applied for work permits not study permits. They may have not given biometrics, but they probably got them from previous applications.

Also, my ppr was generated over a month and a half ago but the status on GCMS notes says "not started" and it was also due over a month and a half ago. So now, I'm just waiting.
