Yes, I am planning to email them on Monday. And you're right, we won't have any time to reapply if we are rejected. The only option would be to defer our admissions. I know of a few rejections from Pakistan and they've all come within 3-4 weeks of application. Perhaps it's a good sign then that...

Applied on 18th April with upfront medical through VAC Islamabad. No decision from CIC yet.

No, I haven't yet. I heard their replies are rarely useful.

Nope.

I applied on 18th April. Background check changed to 'not applicable' last week. No updates after that.

I submitted highlighted documents. Haven't received my visa yet though. I don't think highlighting is tampering. Don't worry about it.

I will also be attending UWaterloo. I applied on 18th April. Still under process...

No, they didn't ask me for a police certificate. I attached it when I applied. And no, the average time for Pakistan is 8 weeks. Today marks 8 weeks for my application. I will be getting in touch with the embassy in another week or so.

My background check also changed to not applicable. I had already attached my police clearance certificate.

Does anyone know what background check not applicable means?
