11th week has started for me. My application is being handled by the Abu Dhabi embassy as well. 8 weeks is the processing time for Pakistan.

There are a couple of people waiting from last year who haven't received a decision from the embassy. A few people applied in March and haven't heard back. Another guy applied in January and his visa is still under process. I myself applied in mid April with upfront medical and it has almost...

You can optionally get the medical done before applying. You then attach the medical sheet with your application. It's supposed to speed up the process a little but didn't seem to in my case.

I filled the IRCC form on Monday.

Three of my friends got their visas last year. I haven't seen anyone who applied in or after March from Pakistan get a positive reply from the embassy yet.

I have a Bachelors of Software Engineering from SEECS, NUST. (CGPA 3.62/4.00) Going for fully funded Masters in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. (GRE: 320/340 and TOEFL: 116/120.)

Yep, heard of like four rejections. All came within 3-4 weeks of application.

Similar story for all Pakistani applicants. I haven't heard of a single one who applied in or after March and has received their visa.

Is it necessary to send the original police certificate with your study permit application? I sent a notarized copy. The VAC guys didn't object.

Did you guys attach police character certificates with your application? I attached a notarized photocopy and now heard that the original might be required.

I'm not sure but I think medical and passport requests come individually.
