True, but why wait for a year when they could get started right away? And I meant as question the relationship a bit more due to the fact that visiting someone and living with someone are not necessarily the same thing. I'm just thinking of a worst case scenario.

I was also able to link to my online account. I thought I may not be able to do it since I'm an unpaid representative to my wife and the FAQ was a bit weird on that.

From Mexico. The only delay I can see is because I am currently living in the US, but returning to Canada this summer. But I at least need to know that they received and that I didn't mess anything up to get it returned :eek::eek:

I'm starting to get nervous... They received my application on 11 Dec and some people from that week are receiving AOR and not us :(:( Hopefully everyone gets the good news soon :p

If you want to avoid headaches, get married and apply as such. Makes life easier.

Try the Canadian Visa, or go to another country to get married, maybe in Europe? Latin America is also a good option, i.e. Mexico, Colombia, etc. Good luck!
