Are you sure you entered IP2 instead of IP1? Based on what I read previously, IP1 happens when BC changes from "We are processing" to "Your application is in progress"... and IP2 happens when it changes back to "We are processing". Am I wrong? Asking this because about 10 days ago my...

Not necessarily. Based on the 2019 report, the 2 draws with highest CRS cutoff (472 and 475) had more CEC invitations than FSW invitations, more precisely: 1326 CEC x 1079 FSW (475 cutoff) and 1340 CEC x 1307 FSW (472 cutoff). So, based on the data, it appears the 470+ range is pretty much...

I totally get your point. I didn't receive the ITA in March for the matter of 2 days! Because of that, I had to wait up until September to get my ITA. Every single day became a countdown to the next draw, to the hope of the return of general draws... I know how stressful that is, and I really...

Many of us prefer to move once unemployment rate is lower and more stable, restrictions are lifted, and so on... I would say this is by the far the smartest move. There's no point on rushing to enter the country, if we'll find potential lockdowns, lack of job opportunities, etc. At least, in my...

No, previously they stated that applications from august were being processed (that means: they started looking into these applications). Now, it's saying that applications from May are being finalized. It's entirely different.

500 CECs por month? No way. Man, the pool gets around 300 new candidates/A DAY in the 470+ range (which according to 2019 EE report, is a range occupied mostly by CECs, not FSWs). Probably more than double of that (600/day) if we consider the whole 0-1200 range.

WHAT!??? Does that could potentially mean that they'll be stopping draws for a while? What's behind the idea of inviting someone with 75 points? Insane.

I need some guidance... I am lost.

Well, Masters won't be enough for you. Neither will an improvement on the IELTS. The ways would be either french, the Atlantic or hoping to get lucky and receive a PNP nomination. From the 3, the easier, cheaper, most secure and most predictable of all would be French. In other words: there's...

That's why I disclaimed that at the beginning, a few posts back.

Well, I've never lived outside of my home country, so everything that I say here will be based on feedback that I get from friends and people that I follow. Basically, I do think that people overvalue the concept of learning a language faster because they're "immersed" in another country. I...

Each person has its own plan, but I'm totally opposed to the idea of paying the absurd tuitions that Canada charges for international students. Learning a new language is pretty much free, and just SOOOO much faster (and cheaper) than doing a 2-3 yr college program + PGWP + EE.

I also support that idea. I attempt TCF twice, the first time in March/2020 (just 2 months after I started my french studies) and then on August/2020. On the first atempt I focused 100% on the reading/listening sections, I didn't even tried the Writing (literally left the 3 essays blank) and...

I went from A1 to B2/C1 (3 CLB8 and 1 CLB9) in about 6-7 months. But, to my advantage I had the fact that french is quite similar to portuguese (my native language), and the vast majority of words that weren't similar to portuguese, were similar to english. So, if your native language is...

Based on the data from myImmiTracker, it looks like Ottawa is only processing inland candidates. Everybody else is being forwarded to a regional VO.

In early April. I did request notes in December, but haven't received them yet. But I don't expect to see any significant information, since at the time I requested, I did not provide my biometrics yet. Now that I did, I'm waiting a few weeks to request notes once again. I got the status of my...

In accordance with IRCC my Eligibility is Passed, and Criminality is started. I already did my Biometrics as well. So, now i'm pretty much awaiting for ghost updates and the Ready for Visa mail. But, I'm not that hopeful that I'll receive the PPR before the 6 month mark.

If they stop the 5,000 ITAs (for some reason, a new variant of the coronavirus that can't be fought with a vaccine, a change in public opinion about immigration, a conservative government, whatever...) and change the CRS criteria to give, let's say, 20 extra points to CEC, suddenly, I'm not...

    Ray of hope - FSW - 1

Exactly. What if IRCC starts to invite only 4000 people per draw again? Will 474 be enough? Can anyone here guarantee that 4,000 invitations will not come back? What if IRCC establishes a +50 bonus for CECs? Will 480 be enough? Never take any score for granted (unless of course you're above...
