    What is Mississauga doing?

There are many people being processed at NDVO and LVO from 2016 who still has not gotten PPR. Some people will get processed in 4-5 months but the vast majority will wait at least 6 months. Ottawa has been consistently the fastest VO and now we are seeing a slowdown probably a bit of backlog but...

    Background Check Ndvo

You are fine. Im a January applicant and they started my bgc just last month. It's true that many people who applied in January, February and March got PPR already but thats probably like 10% of the cases (4-5 months processing right now falls into the 10%) most applicants will have to wait...

February 2017 * OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLIC*

Can take 1 week or 3 months. It's random but I will say the average must be around 1 month and a half. It also depends on your VO. Some VO's are known for taking longer. Mine has been in progress for more than 1 month now.

    Background Check - Not Applicable?

Usually that's good news when it changes to N/A but depending on your visa officer. In Ottawa, that could mean PPR is near. London? I have no idea. When my TRV got approved, BGC changed to N/A just before PPR.

Yes, it's my parents house. So what if I get PPR while visiting her? Not a problem if I send my passport to the visa office from Canada?

Driver's license in QC while waiting for PR process

If you are from one of the countries that canada has an agreement with and you have 2+ year of expensive, I believe you might get a driver's license with a visitor record. Even if you are not from those countries, a visitor record might allow you to get one. I'm not sure about this. I have a...

Visiting wife while outland, need to update address?

Hello, Our BGC has been in progress for almost 2 months now so I think we should get PPR soon. I'm planning to visit my wife for 1 month and I think I might get PPR while I'm there. I'm not from a visa exempt country but I have a multiple entry visa. Should I contact the VO so they can update...

Depends on your VO and the officer handling your application. If your VO is ottawa, then usually after eligibility is passed, it takes a couple of weeks to get DM. Others VO's can take 2-3 months after eligibility is passed and others usually for Muslim countries can take a couple of months...

Hello, Anyone who lives in Montreal knows a place where they take the PR pictures? I don't want to screw up this!! From what I have seen, Cic's focus it's in the genuineness of the relationship. We applied 2 months after getting married and our interview was waived why? because we provided enough proof of relationship. Letters from family, pictures of us with the family together. Pictures of us spending...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

Seems like there is a new trend that background check goes in progress before getting transferred to the VO. But usually, BGC goes in progress after meds and fee payment. Is this last one is the case then PPR should come shortly after since that means eligibility is passed. If the background...

    US outland applicants' thread :)

The background check is the last step. They usually ask for the fee before starting the background check. I have seen cases where they ask for the fee before elegibity has changed to passed. So basically a request for the RPRF fee along with the background check starting it means the app it's in...

    Argentina 2014 - anyone?

I have an american driver's license and that was enough along with my passport. Glad it was an easy and pleasant landing. When you sent the pictures, did you have to write your name, birth date and a stamp from the place you took the pictures from in the back of one of them? I remember doing...
