I am talking about deferral. The cases you've mentioned surely mean that.

This definitely can be. But this way we can always see the "doubt ful" side of the picture and make that a reason without listening or understanding the other side. From people working as VO there, I expect better and this is sad given the context of this thread.

That's quite a long time and pretty unfortunate. I am sorry you had to go through it. I'd say reach out to them via web form explaining how it is impacting your life decisions because of all the delays and you understand the current scenario and would appreciate it if you could get a decision...

I had a query for application, I wrote an email to them and I got a response in two days. Many users from this forum asked about their processing center by calling IRCC. What exactly is your case?

Not sure about that. Nothing happened first 2 times either. Maybe you can try calling/email IRCC and request to expedite your application, while being considerate of the current scenario, and explain about deadlines or smth.
