Congrats man. Why ain't a good sign?

What does the letter say?

I’m also an Abu Dhabi applicant, non SDS. Applied on July 18 with family, biometrics done the following day but only got reflected in my account very recently after I sent a webform on August 19. Eligibility review started today. Hope they’ll decide soon.

Better to check with candidates who received AIP (and had given Biometrics also) ....whether they received Corres Letter before AIP or not.

From what i understand is that AIP (2 staged process) is only for those candidates who have some missing documents they couldn't submit due to Covid situation (eg Medical, Biometrics, Police Certificate etc).

For the candidates who have already submitted Biometrics and /or other documents their getting a biometrics correspondence letter is not surprising.

Isn't 2 staged AIP process for incomplete applications (some documents in application missing due to Covid) ???

this letter is given before final decision .
I got correspondence letter after my medical exam and biometrics were both passed. So it doesn't necessarily mean you were refused, most likely it's for AIP

I got approved recently as well, without stages. The only difference is that this is not approval through GC Key and they said that passport request will come after Canada lifts travel restrictions

Thanks for the update.

Few questions if you can kindly help:

1) On which date you got your Biometrics correspondence letter in your GC key account ?
2) You mentioned "This is not approval through GC Key and they said that passport request will come after Canada lifts travel restrictions".
How didi they advise you this (Was it an email) and what was the date of this intimation?
3) Is there any update in your GC Key account after getting "this without stages approval"?

Thanks for the update.

Few questions if you can kindly help:

1) On which date you got your Biometrics correspondence letter in your GC key account and On which date you got Study permit approval ?
2) You mentioned "This is not approval through GC Key and they said that passport request will come after Canada lifts travel restrictions".
Did they email you this ?
3) Is there any update in your GC Key account after getting the approval update ?
1) I got it on August 13th, right after both my biometrics and medicals got passed
2) They send me an information letter through GC Key. It came directly from my embassy. It has my study permit number and what date is it valid until. This letter got into my account yesterday.

NOTE: My documents had mixed dates because I got accepted to study until May 2023, the LOA mentioned May 2024, and my recalculated credits made my grad date May 2022. I asked my university to give me new LOA reflecting this recalculation (I am a transfer student). I send the new info through the webform. Once the processing facility received my letter I got my "information letter" the next day. So I STRONGLY recommend to send updated directly to IRCC through webforms to avoid delays. And in some case, double check your grad date with financial statements and letters of purpose. You never know if maybe they are confused and it causes them delays.

3) There is no update. I guess if they did they would be required to request my passport. I guess if anybody else who applied from outside of the US or Canada they would receive the same "information letter" without an update to GC key
