Thanks mjaffer53! At least we know it's a little farther along than what they are saying on the website. These delays are painful though! I have a job opportunity for the end of this month and I have a few more weeks to wait on BOWP it seems :(

    RECENT BOWP APPROVALS - Timeline

Hey, I thought I'd create a thread for persons who have applied for BOWP since January 2015 & received approval from CIC. I myself applied online on February 19th & am currently biting my nails waiting for a decision, but the processing time keeps increasing. Hearing from you guys how far...

Express Entry applicants who received AOR connect here

Ughhhh! I shouldn't be reading this thread, I belong in October 2014 CEC. It's so unfortunate that CIC CAN move things along this quickly but for us in the past , we have to continue waiting 12 to 14 months *bawls* On a happier note, good luck to you all!! It's good that they have improved the...

    CEC October 2014 Applicants

I can only safely answer one of your questions- BOWP stands for bridging open work permit. You can google it to read all about it. But basically if you have an AOR and your current work permit is about to expire in four months or less you can apply for the BOWP in order to continue working in...

Legal to remain in or return to Canada w/ a TRV after resigning?

thanks. yea, the work permit goes until July 31st as well. I left and went to my home country, with the idea that I could go back to visit/remain using the Temporary Resident Visa, but now that I think about it, I'm not sure what customs will say to me when I tell them I resigned from my job but...

Legal to remain in or return to Canada w/ a TRV after resigning?

Hey, I have a question which might seem silly. Is it legal to remain in Canada on a temporary resident visa (due to expire July 31st, 2015) after resigning from job (closed work permit)? Also, can I leave the country and return using the same TR visa, even though I have resigned?

    September 2014 - CEC Applications

If you look at his history, he is in Quebec & isn't a CEC applicant but a Quebec provincial nominee applicant. It is very possible that processing times are a lot quicker., especially when alot less people are applying to that. I don't think anyone of us needs to lie about our experiences.

Application denied - Experts please help

I personally think you should just let it go and apply through EE, on your own using all tools, information & experience you have garnered throughout this process. You could spend a lot of time and pay a lot more money appealing this decision & there is no guarantee. I think he/you are better...
