George, If you see carefully at the time stamp, he posted on the 23rd Jan stating that CC charged on 24th Jan. Don't really make sense.

Other than me, anyone else here 1st week of Dec application received?

Mavrik, You may wish to write to CIC for a response. The charging for this NOC is around mid Nov. If rejected, you would be informed by now. Just note that CIC will take abt 45 days to reply u.

Hari, CC needs to be charged before anything else can happen. So for you to get your UCI#, it means that CIC has already charged your consultant CC.

George, Correct my understanding. On or before 15 Jan, CIO already did initial scan of documents. Between 15 Jan and now is just a few days. Most people at this stage won't know the application status, i.e returned or in queue for CC/DD charging. How did u derive to this info/conclusion.

I wonder how they do completeness check. As in do they call your ex company, check if your ielts are genuine etc? Any sort or forms of visuals we may have?

Your application was received on 19th Dec and someone is already looking into your file. Which means to say they are looking at mid dec applicants already?

Hello friends, I have posted a query earlier but looking back, there was no reply. Wondering if any one can help. I read in here that they will do background checks before giving a PER. Would someone be able to advise type of background checks CIC will do before providing the PER?

Hi Mamuthebug, You may wish to do it as CIC would want to ensure you have sufficient funds in your account. I have placed mine in FD a/c as well. In addition, it would be good that the bank can write you a letter indicating the funds available in your FD.

George, thanks for the analysis. Am I correct to say that the 11K plus accepted are those who have received the PER while those 4K plus are like you and me, i.e applicant sent and pending PER? Wish I could +1 to you but not sure how to. :)

That is indeed scary. Would you or anyone knows what are the hot categories as at now (minus those already cap and no longer accepting) so that we have a "feel" on where we are?
