Foreign degree is not looked down unless you go for college diplomas. If you have undergrad then you have better chances if you applied for grad programs. I have a diploma+Under Grad from Australia. Applied for Masters in Canada and got approved. Hope it helps.

If application is approved then you send your passport through VFS rather than arranging a private courier and then the risk of not getting/received on time. Courier delivery handling charges would be more costly. Apply directly to VFS and then link the application online, so you can keep tracks.

If it's something important then I hope CIC asks you to upload. It happened in my case. I literally ignored one document and CIC did ask for that 3days later after they received my application. Hope all goes well with you.
