    Something is very wrong! 10 weeks working on October 8 applications. There are 23 days left in October. The stupid excuse is that they got a lot of TRP for the summer

    @screech It's sad how CIC have those hidden dates like Rogers hidden fees. Landing should be accounted for in one of those stages. They all take us for foolish people it seems. Today makes 8 months since we applied but nothing yet

    Apart from drivers license, what other form of address confirmation can be provided at the landing interview? Also, is it the sponsor or applicant asked for address confirmation or both? I'm the applicant and so I need to get an ID in the mean time should I need it

    @QuebecOakie Yes I feel so too. Some agents will tell you straight up if they've started anything. Others will just be dumb as the process is @sunflora It stands for member of Parliament and they can help

    So I had the balls big enough to call CIC awhile ago and a very nice agent spoke to me. She said they're still doing October 8; so she asked me for my client number and she told me that my background checks were requested on December 21, 2012. So let's see what the next few months will say

    So we just called the MP and were told that an immigration person will be there to deal with us and we will have to sign some consent form so they can enquire on our behalf
