All applications processed before December 2016 will be finalized by December 2017 according to the CiC website. Few more months, were almost there...

I have passed that date a long time ago, it was July 1st 2016. It really is security checks that are taking long. Why would the VO and Mp lie to us?

Then why everytime i contact the visa office or MP, they tell me security verifications are still underway? Ive had those s.15 inscriptions for months..

s.15(1) does not mean you passed security. Ive had that for months and my security is still in process. It just means it started.

Nope nothing out of the ordinary, no military no travel. The MP says it takes longer for middle eastern countries, especially men. Can take over a year. It sucks but you can't really get details or information on why its taking so long. Its all just assumptions..

I called my MP and she explained how the process works. Once criminality is cleared, they initiate security immediately. My security has been going on for 13 months..

Usually starts when criminality was last updated. You can find that date in your notes

No security checks start right after criminality has passed. So in your notes its the date criminality was updated.
