Anyone else had to provide report by psychiatrist?

I'm in the process of being sponsored as an applicant and have been told by CIC I need to provide additional medical information. They've told me I need a psychiatrist report because of my psychiatric diagnoses. Has anyone ever had to do this extra report? Did you have to contact your own...

APRIL 2016 - OUTLAND SPOUSAL APPLICANTS

They want a further medical report. I have some psychiatric diagnoses, so they want a bunch of information, if I'm a danger, need healthcare, blabla. I'm worried though, because I intend to not work and stay at home.. I can't see how that should be a dealbreaker though, as long as I don't cost...

Have any of you managed to log into CIC yet? To check application process? They say they'll update on Tuesdays, but it doesn't recognize my number and details yet.

I'm also bringing my cats, two to be exact. I was thinking perhaps it'd be best if they were checked in, 'cause then their carriers would be big enough and you could make room for a little toilet.. Only, I'm also really paranoid about whether they will take good care of the cats or not, and if...

I'm sorry for being ignorant, but what does SA stand for? I've googled immigration acronyms, but it never lists everything :(. How did all of you get to know these acronyms anyway? Is there a stickied thread I missed? :P

Oh, I see. So what happens then if you're already in Canada when you get approved? How do you start the PR visa? Thanks for answering my questions, btw!

When the day comes and PR is approved, what exactly happens then? Will they send a PR card to your outland address or to your spouse, or, does anyone know what happens exactly? I'm wondering, because I'm hoping I can get to stay with my husband in Canada as a visitor while the case is being...

Oh, I see. My husband lives in Quebec, so I think we have to have our application forwarded to them first and then receive instructions before we can pay any PR fees. Also, kinda sucks that the pay your fees page doesn't mention paying PR fees up front is an option, how are you supposed to know :/.

Wait, can you explain why it's 1040$? Shouldn't it only be 75$ for sponsorship application and and 474$ for principal applicant? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/result.asp?countrySelect=CA&lob=fc I'm scared now :|

How come we need to write a Visa office in our home country in the spreadsheet? Will Canada be in contact with a visa office there? And how do you find out what your visa office is? D:

What medical examination documents to enclose?

Oh, I see. Thank you all! I will just enclose the document I got from them by email (which is what I called receipt, but I suppose it's more right to just call it proof of examination).

I'm confused though, how come some are saying you don't need a job to sponsor your spouse? Isn't that why they talk about minimum income requirement and ask for employment papers, payslips and everything, so to prove you can take care of your sponsored spouse?

What medical examination documents to enclose?

It looks somewhat similar, though the instructions on it are more vague. I'll take it I should just disregard the first document checklist saying I need a signed document (IMM 1017) and send the receipt!
