OMG. You file was transferred to Mississauga over 3 months ago and still CIC was not able to squeeze you in for the oath? Consider the fact the new applicants who've been waiting for an average of six months and not 4.5 years are given their oath two weeks after the test. This is beyond words.....

Hand over to officer note does probably not mean much. You have been waiting for 6 months after the note appeared in your file and you still did not get the oath.

That is too funny. So people can get their citizenship and leave immediately . At least they are saving them a trip to the airport. :)

My guess is that it is a positive development . Probably St Clair has finalized reviewing your RQ and now your file is forwarded to Scarborough for the oath. Hopefully you will hear some good new soon.

They are not morons . I am sure they are paid good taxpayer $ and they are free to determine their own deadlines and goals. In my book everybody who lands such a job is everything but a moron :)

Guys you think that call center agents saying that an officer has been assigned to the case is just a trick to generate a mirage of progress on our files so we are satisfied and stop calling them ? I have seen some people report being told that without any substantial progress.

Immigration lawyers reap a nice profit from this whole RQ farce. I happened to speak with one such lawyer who told me that since the admission of RQ in 2012 he's been getting much more clients requesting help in their citizenship applications.

I was told by the MP office that they are a-political and have no political affiliation . So if the next election there is a change of power in the riding and a new party is elected, the MP office stays staff the same. At least this is what they said - if you believe it or not is up to you.
