How bout them 2015 applicants who get oath a week after the test lol

    Interview Scenario.

I already talked to the MP and he said that it is still in process and to wait until the 36 months time is over (it's coming September for me so its not that far) . Before that time he can't do anything. The issue is that no matter what the concern is , big or small, once your applications is...

    Interview Scenario.

Being told at the test that all is fine, expecting the oath letter in the mail and receiving an RQ instead was certainly not a nice experience.

    Interview Scenario.

I don't have an issue with them doing their job and preventing from fraudulent applicant to obtain citizenship. Whats unreasonable is the delays imposed on applicants in case CIC is suspecting their applications. For example in my case, I was supposed to have the oath in November 2013 after...

RQ St Clair + Trans to Mississauga + Approved Ceremony = Waiting for Oath Letter

OMG. You file was transferred to Mississauga over 3 months ago and still CIC was not able to squeeze you in for the oath? Consider the fact the new applicants who've been waiting for an average of six months and not 4.5 years are given their oath two weeks after the test. This is beyond words.....

St. Clair Office - Transfer RQ Recipients Waiting for Oath

Hand over to officer note does probably not mean much. You have been waiting for 6 months after the note appeared in your file and you still did not get the oath.

Scarborough office / timeline after test

That is too funny. So people can get their citizenship and leave immediately . At least they are saving them a trip to the airport. :)

    ATIP codes

Hi Guys, I don't want to be a party wrecker and I could be wrong but I suggest taking all this strange notes in your ATIP , e.g: "assigned to officer" , "preliminary review completed...." with a grain of salt. CIC knows people are ordering ATIP and makes an effort to show some progress in the...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

My guess is that it is a positive development . Probably St Clair has finalized reviewing your RQ and now your file is forwarded to Scarborough for the oath. Hopefully you will hear some good new soon.

    Victory!

We should all give bambino a 100$ each and ask him to take our case as a group :) considering there are thousand of 2011-2012 applicants he can make a good profit :)

St. Clair Office - Transfer RQ Recipients Waiting for Oath

I'm begging to believe that this whole "assigned to officer" thing is meaningless. Pretty much all RQ applicants who asked for latest ATIP has this line in their GCMS notes. People's cases with a whole year difference have "assigned to officer" around the same time frame (first quarter of...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Look like the staff at CIC has job security for few more years :)

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

They are not morons . I am sure they are paid good taxpayer $ and they are free to determine their own deadlines and goals. In my book everybody who lands such a job is everything but a moron :)

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

It could be that before officer was assigned there was queue with a 10,000 applicants who are at the responsibility of 10 officers with no specific applicants assigned to specific officer. After the officer was assigned those 10 officers divide up the initial queue and now each applicants is in...

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Guys you think that call center agents saying that an officer has been assigned to the case is just a trick to generate a mirage of progress on our files so we are satisfied and stop calling them ? I have seen some people report being told that without any substantial progress.

Oath Timeline after test at St. Clair Office

Immigration lawyers reap a nice profit from this whole RQ farce. I happened to speak with one such lawyer who told me that since the admission of RQ in 2012 he's been getting much more clients requesting help in their citizenship applications.

    CIT 0520 after citizenship test

I wish you hearty congrats but I still do not understand how your mandamus application was successful since you have less than 36 months of processing time.

YOUR M.P. OFFICE CAN GET YOUR YOUR APPLICATION MOVING.....

I did not mean the MP himself but the staff at the office which are the ones actually doing the inquires to CIC.... It would make sense for them to be not affiliated politically because their duty is to be a liaison between residents and the government. If they were politically affiliated in any...

YOUR M.P. OFFICE CAN GET YOUR YOUR APPLICATION MOVING.....

I was told by the MP office that they are a-political and have no political affiliation . So if the next election there is a change of power in the riding and a new party is elected, the MP office stays staff the same. At least this is what they said - if you believe it or not is up to you.
