Since theres a specific question about accompanying someone with newly obtained status in Canada, I think this is a valid reason to visit Canada and I will support it with my documents. Should work. @legalfalcon : can you please guide me on this?

Nope - planning to apply for visit visa.

A slightly off topic question. My parents will be accompanying me when I go to Canada initially. They will stay with me and fund their own expenses including travel. My question is if I can write them an invitation letter. I will provide my immigrant visa and COPR as proof. @legalfalcon

Got back my passport with visa and COPR! End of a very eventful and nerve wracking 7.5 months! This forum was my source of knowledge and inspiration.

My CSE response was "we can confirm a decision has been taken on the application" and this was after my file was approved.

No this is the final approval after submitting passport. This means visa has been issued.

My application was approved and profile updated today!

Anyone has any idea how long it takes to get visa stamped from SGVO? I searched online and looks like its one month. My passport has been received and is under process from Jan 10.

Awesome! NDVO seems to be faster in stamping passports too! I submitted passports for processing at SGVO on Jan 8. Still waiting for stamping.
