    We did not find this the case at all Processing time for our visa office was 26 months... our MP contacted them on our behalf at about the 10-11 month mark They were so helpful... thank goodness as I have heard others have had not that kind of help I think it all depends on your MP

    Probably had the slowest Visa Officer in Singapore Singapore received our PP on March 13th Decision made April 11th and received PP back in Canada on May 1st You can expect it to take approximately 1 month to get it back

    Depends the province you are in Some provinces provide coverage even if you are here on a TRV with a PR application in process We were covered from the day the applicant arrived in Canada ... baby arrived 7 months later via C-Section... all covered... Thank God

    Hey :) I think you like most people are overthinking this... you won't be put on the dreaded interview list if they doubt your intention to return to Canada. Nor will this delay your application processing. The only reason that people end up on the interview list is if the visa officer...

    Being refused a TRV won't hurt your application for sponsorship in any way It might actually strengthen it ... showing you are trying to be together We were denied a TRV from Thailand twice before the sponsor was approved Once the sponsor was approved we were given a TRV... when applicant landed...

    They may ask you to show proof of your intentions to move back to Canada Whether that be a job offer or a rental agreement for a place to live I agree... why anyone would go through this and not intend to live here is beyond me... :P
