Maybe he/she applied for PR before getting his/her TRV. Just a guess tho :P

Yes i applied PR last year right away after marriage.. This year i got my approval on TRV and that time my status was till Application Received. After returning from holiday, my status changed to In Process where they requester my passport and remedic and police cert. Luckilyit was only a less than a month holiday day cause i received the request letter everything like 3 days after my return to Malaysia and the period given to do remedic was 30 days and to complete the process was 60 days!

That's very good, because you know how hard it is to get TRV when you're married to a Canadian. But then again, Malaysia is not exactly a 3rd world country.

Current trend of passport return for VFS Dhaka to Singapore is - 60 days (plus minus few days).

Awesome news Jo-Macral :P

Is this the "usual" timeline? My wife is from Thailand and she's been reading Thai forums and people who applied in last September are starting to get visas.

Hello Johnnycage

Singapore seems to be picking up the pace a little bit
We were application received on Jan 31/13... went in process on Nov 4/13
Rec'd ppr on Jan 27th... with details on redoing chest x-ray to extend medicals... this part was very confusing... had to get MPs office involved to figure it out
PP received at SVO on March 13th
Decision made April 11th
PP and COPR received in Canada on May 1st

Landed June 26th after going back to Thailand for a quick visit as applicant had been in Canada since Jan 31/13 on TRV

Just waiting on PR card now... Glad this journey is over :)

Best of luck to you and your wife !!

Hello

To all those that have submitted PP to SVO and have decision made... you should relax as the decision is pretty much guaranteed to be a positive one.... especially if you did not have an interview

Even once passport is submitted and they feel something isn't right... they will arrange an interview before they decline your application

Chin up everyone... soon you will have passports in hand with the COPR :)

Hi cdnmom,

Thanks for the cheer up. Yes from what I have seen too they seem to accelerate the process a little somehow. Good thing. We were not lucky as you for the TRV. She might reapply later, but after so many refusals and the money and time it costs each time, we are a little resistant to the idea now ;) She just started a company one year ago and it seems like it's not long enough for them. See the last case's notes from her refusal in last May:

32 yrs old married. ap's PR application was received by Spore in Mar2014. She will visit her husb in Montreal for 3 weeks. Ap was refused twice. She submits her Business registration which was issued last year. the company address is one of the business partner. Ap worked in Krabi from 2010-2012, in HuaHin from Feb to Jul2013 and in BKK from Jul2013 to Apr2014. Her travel records is to Myanmar and Spore. Ap submits her proof of funds. I have reviewed her application. Her business has just been operated for one year without previous history. there is insufficient proof of her financial resources, income and funds. I am not satisfied that ap is fully established. her ties and obligation to leave Cda is insufficient. refused.

Anyway, congratulations to you. It was a long journey and it's finally over.

Thanks, and yes it was great news.. Now we just wait to get our passport back and we are out of here. My wife is very much looking forward to moving to Vancouver and our child will be starting school in 2015 so the timing is good.

My ECAS has changed to In Process on 16th of July and I received an email for rem-medical. The next day my wife has completed her medical again and the next day ECAS updated with the below info:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on July 16, 2013.
2. We started processing your application on July 15, 2014.
3. Medical results have been received.

This Morning my wife got some of the documents (Photos & Phone Call List) returned to her (in Dhaka) in a package from Singapore.
They are requesting for a Police Clearance (2nd Time), Re-Medical, IMM 5669, Passport, and Passport Size Recent Photos.
As they advised to send the passport through (VFS Canada Application Centre-Dhaka),
I think they already received the medical report and updated ECAS
But my question is; how do I send Police clearance, IMM 5669, Passport Size Recent Photos? Please Advise....

Can I send those documents along with Passport through VFS or separately. Is there any other way to send the documents? like via email or anything?

Yes you can. You can send passport and all requested documents via VFS. My wife did it in June. Please ensure the forms are filled out completely, IMM5669 in particular. They do not like any unaccounted time periods. Do get the police clearance asap. This may take a little time, other members who have had to do this item would be more helpful to you. Medical is transmitted by the approved doctor directly and there is nothing further to do in this regard. Wish you all the best and speedy immigration.

You should send your Police clearance (Original), IMM 5669 ( Original signed by applicant), Passport Size Recent Photos, Passport all together through VSF and it will be returned to you from Singapore by same VSF securely. This the secure and best way. You have to pay Tk 2529 in cash for sending passport and documents through VFS.

May I know what is your time line ?

Did the package containing your photos and phone call list came to you by postal service from VFS, Dhaka or Singapore High commission ?

When is your cut-off time to submit the passport and document and where (VFS or Singapore High commission) ?

Shariar and Honeybeelover

Congrats and good wishes to both of you.
